Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds an distinguished chair in psychology within the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of eyewitness accounts from children's memories as well as the role of children victims in court settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer, has won several awards and grants. She has collaborated with numerous government agencies and institutions all over the world to conduct policy and research relating to children who have been victimized by the justice system. She also serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the president of The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
