Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with the letters in uppercase like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two of the most notable covers the artist has done. Katy Perry's support for her track Runaway on her blog added to the musician's appreciation. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument in her attic and being awed by the sound it could produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to learn music for a love rather than a profession. This led to her began writing songs of her own. She is credited with Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as her main influences. Her mother had said that her songs would not just help her gain fame, but also make others see their value to the world and appreciate what can be done with the songs and her music, she was inspired to start playing in front of the public. She was suggested by her mother to sing her songs in public in order to make people aware of their own importance and how they could impact the world. It wasn't until her 14th birthday when she shared her story with her parents. Aurora has never imagined becoming a star. She claims that she enjoys creating songs. According to her, the music she composes is the way that she feels everything.
